Hydra Mist Carpet Cleaning has a long history. Robert Carrier acquired the business in 1982 in Duncan, B.C. where he spent 3 years before moving to Victoria for a year and then off the Island to sunny Penticton for the next six years. From there both Carrier and Hydra Mist made their way north – Prince George, Vanderhoof and Prince Rupert before settling in Terrace in 1994.

For the last ten years, Hydra Mist has been serving residents and businesses of Terrace and area with several large commercial contracts in Bell Two, Greenville, Kitwanga and Hazelton.

Hydra Mist has been a member of the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce since 1996.

 
IICRC, CERTIFICATION & WHAT IT MEANS FOR THE CONSUMER
The IICRC is a nonprofit certifying body for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry. Organized in 1972, the IICRC currently represents over 3,300 certified firms and 27,590 certified technicians in 11 countries.
The IICRC, with participation from the entire industry, sets standards for inspection, cleaning and restoration.

Mission of the Institute
to serve primarily as an independent, nonprofit certification body; to set and promote high standards and ethics; and to advance communication and technical proficiency within the cleaning, inspection, and restoration industry.
  • Further, the Institute acts as a central conduit in the exchange of information between all segments of the cleaning, inspection, and restoration industry.
  • The Institute cooperates with all segments of the industry, in whatever prudent, legal, ethical and financial means reasonable, in order to enhance product quality, value, and service to the consumer.
  • In addition to the primary activities within the industry, the Institute proactively disseminates information to maintain industry wide productive, logical, and fair recommendations for the protection of the consumer, industry workers, and the environment.
  • The Institute promotes the science of cleaning and restoration.
